A professor at UCLA School of Law, Adam Winkler is a specialist in American constitutional law. His work on corporate political speech rights and on the Second Amendment has been cited by the U.S. Supreme Court and his writing has appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, New Republic, the Atlantic, and numerous websites. His commentary has been featured on the NBC Nightly News, ABC News, CNN/Anderson Cooper, NewsHour, Marketplace, All Things Considered, O'Reilly Factor, and the Katie Couric Show. He is the author of over two dozen scholarly articles; co-editor of the Encyclopedia of the American Constitution (2nd edition); and has published over 80 opinion pieces on legal issues. In 2011, his book Gunfight: The Battle over the Right to Bear Arms in America was published by W. W. Norton. He is currently writing on a book on how corporations became people under the Constitution.
